Takumi NASHIMOTO

Pianist

 Highly acclaimed Japanese Pianist Takumi NASHIMOTO receives international recognition for him colorful sounds and wide repertoire.

 Mr.Nashimoto studied with Dráfi Kálmán at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music(Zeneakadémia) in Hungary as a Scholarship Student of “Stipendium Hungaricum” and “China Bank Budapest”. After he received MA diploma, he studied at Highest Specialized Piano Performance study of Liszt Academy, and received Piano Soloist Diploma in 2021.

 In 2018, graduated at piano major, Music Depertment, Tokyo University of the Arts as a student of Akira EGUCHI. Also studied at Tokyo College of Music High School as a special Scholarship holder and awarded honor prize upon graduation in 2011. 

 Studying piano under Masahiro Saito, Hideto Nishikawa, Atsuko Okada, Yukio Yokoyama and Kálmán Dráfi. Otherhand, he also studied improvisation with Masataka Hirano who is an outstandingly Saxophonist, as well as composition with Susumu Aoki.

 Takumi won the 2nd prize in category of Piano Solo and Chamber Music at Danubia International Competition (Budapest and Vienna) in 2020 and 2021. In 2017, he became a finalist of 22nd Concert Marronnier 21(Japan) and won 2nd prize of 30th Ichikawa New Musician Competition(Japan). He received the Young Artist Award at Competition in 14th Poland International Piano Festival in Nałęczów(Poland) in 2012 as well 

 He has made numerous concerts by solo piano, chamber music and piano concerto in Japan, Poland and Hungary in such a traditional hall as MÜPA Budapest and Grand Hall of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hangary, and Pałac Małachowskich in Poland. He also received wonderful reputation by performing the Piano Concertost with Poland Special Orchestra, Chikuma philharmonic orchestra and Suzaka Mécénat Orchestra. In addition, he performed Mozart’s 20th Piano Concerto with Maestro Hubert Soudant and ensemble NOVA in Japan in 2022.

 He has attended several master classes of world-famous pianists, including EINAR STEEN-NØKLEBERG, Pascal Rogé, Joel Hastings, Michel Béroff and received honorable words. 

 Takumi prides himself on him wide repertoire skill of ensemble as a soloist or as a member of ‘Trio Roppi’ and ‘Nashimoto Miyazato Piano Duo’. He is also committed to performing contemporary music and frequently premiers contemporary composers’ pieces which used live-electronics or improvisation as well.

 In 2022 June 16th, his 1st album “Kotonoha Music” was released from Studio N.A.T.
